Othhman’s assist was dazzling as his back was at Austrian goalie Benedikt Oschgan in front of the net during the play.

The Peterborough Pete made a backhanded pass between his legs after receiving a pass from Connor Bedard. The pass crossed the crease and allowed Guenther to score on a one-timed shot for the 1-0 lead, 14:08 into the game.

Canada eventually routed Austria in an 11-0 win, improving their record to 2-0-0-1. The team has allowed seven goals in three games while scoring 24.

Canada’s next game is against undefeated Sweden on Saturday with 6:30 p.m. EST as puck drop.
