In this role, he will help expand the Lakers' footprint in the local sports landscape, Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) and across Ontario.

“We are excited to have Pete join our team in this capacity,” said Len Powers, Chairman of the Board. “His connection to the community and understanding of the Lakers' values make him a perfect fit as we strategically grow our presence and engage more deeply with our fans. Pete's enthusiasm will be key as we build the future of lacrosse here in Peterborough.”

Dalliday has been well-known for his game commentary on YourTV for the Lakers and Peterborough Petes and with local radio and TV.

According to a press release, with his extensive experience in broadcasting, Dalliday will help elevate the Lakers' marketing strategies, driving new sponsorship opportunities and increasing awareness of the sport throughout the region. The Lakers believe that his leadership in this new role will contribute to growing lacrosse in the area and beyond.

“I’d like to thank the board for this opportunity to help lead such an iconic franchise,” said Dalliday. “As someone who has always felt a deep connection to the Lakers—whether as a fan, former player, or from the booth—this role feels like a natural fit. I’m excited to build relationships and strengthen community ties here in Peterborough to support our team, players, fans, and families, continuing to make the Lakers a true part of our community.”

Pete Dalliday Hits the Kitchen For An Episode Taping of Cooking Show 'Questionable Taste'

Media personality, sports broadcaster and PTBOCanada’s own Pete Dalliday put on the chef’s apron for his guest appearance at the local cooking show ‘Questionable Taste’ with host Ray Galletti to air this week on Bell Fibe TV1 and the Bell Fibe TV app.

The show is based in Peterborough and has Galletti —despite not being a chef — cook with his celebrity friends. They create the guest’s favourite dish using local ingredients while chatting and perhaps a few laughs along the way.

“I was an absolute blast to work with Ray and be asked to take part,” explained Dalliday. “I’ve never done a cooking show before so that was a first and a ton of fun. Ray and I hit it off and have become friends. I may have even converted him into a Halifax Thunderbirds lacrosse fan after he came to one of our games this year.”

Dalliday and Galletti created Italian bread and cheese balls known as ‘pallottes’ which the former traditionally eats on Good Friday.

“It’s an old Giardino family recipe that I was proud to bring to the kitchen that day,” said Dalliday.

The show is co-directed by Peterborough’s Chad Maker and Kirk Comrie. Michael Hurcomb — who also is a Peterborough native — filmed the show.

Dalliday’s episode is listed as the second of season two of five listed tapings. The Peterborough Petes/Lakers play-by-play announcer shares sports stories, his father Gary Dalliday and growing up in Peterborough throughout the episode.

The show's first season had six episodes that had features such as Shantilly’s Place owner Shantelle Bisson on Chandos Lake and Sweet Beast Butcher Shop’s Grant Slavin.

Candy Shop Flossophy Features Collaborative Milkshake With Fresh Radio

A new collaborative milkshake named after 100.5 Fresh Radio hosts Pete Dalliday and Dani Guppy has been created by candy store Flossophy.

The store sells cotton candy, fudge, flavoured popcorn, sundaes, shaved ice and other confectionaries. Photo by Luke Best.

The milkshake was made to help highlight some of Peterborough’s notable and community figures in a fun way.

“We want to be that place where you can get an ice cream. It's just around the corner from your house and have a fun neighbourhood hang,” said Melissa McIver, shop supervisor. “To be able to collab with the people that are important to our city, that's really important to us.”

The milkshake is a cake batter flavour consisting of vanilla ice cream with confetti sprinkles mixed into it. The shake is topped with more sprinkles, whipped cream and finished with a candy kebob.

The flavour is a wordplay of their morning show entitled, ‘Fresh Mornings with Pete & Dani’ with a ‘fresh baked’ birthday cake flavour.

The shake remains on the menu for the next weeks but could remain until the end of summer. The store is considering keeping the theme of naming shakes or other products after notable Peterborough residents in the near future.

“We love collaborations with all the local stores that we have nad all the local amazing dignitaries so it would be fun,” said McIver.
