PKED is the lead regional economic development agency for the City and County of Peterborough and is funded to deliver economic development and tourism services.
Among their comprehensive suite of business support services, PKED supports the retention of existing local businesses and helps to support new businesses in the area.
Through the organizations’ website, local business owners have access to a new Programs and Services Guide.
This guide aims to inform current and prospective business owners of the resources that are available to them. While economic development may often be a complex subject, PKED hopes to be able to bring clarity to it and encourage residents to pursue a career in business.
“Economic development is a team sport” said Rhonda Keenan, PKED’s President & CEO “Our staff and board work closely with many partners to ensure that Peterborough & the Kawarthas continues to thrive as an irresistible place to live, work, invest, study and visit.”
The Programs and Services Guide, as well as resources like the Small Business Tool Kit, data, resources and reports are available on PKED’s new website www.investptbo.ca
