Peterborough Man Charged For Attempting to Lure Teen Into Washroom With Him While Having His Pants Down

A 33-year-old Peterborough man faces a child luring charge after an incident Saturday evening.

At roughly 5:40 p.m., four teens flagged patrolling officers in the George Street and Simcoe Street.  A man, while his pants were down, tried to get one the teens to go into a washroom with him. Officers went in and took the man into custody without incident. 

The man was arrested and charged with:

• Invitation to Sexual Touching under 16 years of age

• Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on Sunday.
