A Lakefield Cafe Closed Early Due To Heat & Left Cookies And Water Cooler Out Front

It's brutally hot out this week—a heat warning is in effect—and well known cafe Nuttshell Next Door in downtown Lakefield took extra precaution to protect its staff from the heat. In a great act of small-town charm, they decided to close early Wednesday and Thursday.

They posted a message to their Facebook page to notify customers as to why they made this decision...

People on Facebook complimented Nuttshell for taking this step and looking after their staff and patrons.

Nutshell Next Door even tweeted out that they left a water cooler (and cookies) out front in the shade should anyone need relief from the heat...
