A 69 Year Old Auditions For His First Play Ever & Lands Role In Arbor Theatre's The Three Muskrateers
/Sixty-nine-year-old Bob Forsey is testament to the fact that it's never too late to try things and follow your passions. Forsey, who lives in the Peterborough area, auditioned for his first play—Arbor Theatre's upcoming production of The Three Muskrateers—and landed the role of the lead villain, "Cardinal Richelieu".
The retired Forsey, who is married with three children and two grandsons, keeps busy as ever—singing, playing guitar, golfing, curling, playing softball... and now acting.

"Several factors made me audition," Forsey tells PTBOCanada. "I always wanted to try acting. I was inspired by Michelle Fererri. I saw her in a production and it looked like she was having fun being silly. I thought, 'I can do that!'"
Forsey adds that he was "pumped" when he found out he landed the role. "I thought, 'Somebody likes my sense of humour,'" he says, adding, "It was also very daunting. I thought, 'What did I get myself into here?'"

But Forsey is having a great time so far playing the villain in this, his first production. "I'm having a riot," he says. "I've met some remarkably creative people who have inspired me. When I saw them laughing at what I was doing, I thought, 'I'm on the right track.'"
