Man Arrested For Quick Change At Steve's Quik Check

Quick Change Arrest
On December 23, 2012, the accused entered Steve’s Quik check store to get some money exchanged. During the exchange the accused grabbed a $20 bill and shoved it up his sleeve and indicated to the cashier that he was short $20. The cashier provided the accused with a $20 bill and then the accused left the store. The cashier viewed the video and it clearly showed that the accused placed the money up his sleeve and had defrauded the store. The cashier contacted police.
On December 29, 2012 police located the accused and arrested him for fraud under $5000. The accused was also on a probation order and was in breach of his order.
Charged with Fraud under $5000 and breach of probation is 51 year old Chesley Cummings of Peterborough. Cummings was released from police custody with a court date of January 17, 2013 where he will begin the process of determining his innocence or guilt.
